dane {1 year}
So much can change in a year. Especially if that year is from the time you were born to when you turn one. I first met Arica, Ryan and their son, Dane, when he was just a newborn, and boy has he grown since then! He now makes the cutest faces, including a need to stick out his tongue when a camera is present. His hair is much more full (and wild:), he has a ton of energy which recently led to crawling, and he’s got a huge appetite — since he ate almost his whole birthday cake! I had a lot of fun celebrating his first birthday and seeing him surrounded by friends and family. Arica and Ryan, you’ve got one handsome little man, and I thank you for having me capture this special time in your life!
leila jade {1 year}
Leila just keeps getting more precious every time I see her. And now, she’s developing her own little personality which is absolutely adorable! She is also on a roll with her crawling capabilities, so our shoots are getting a little more complex, as, one minute I’ll be taking photos of her crawling towards me, the next, she is sitting on my lap!
I won’t complain though. It doesn’t hurt to fit in a little snuggle time with your subjects. And how about that owl hat? TOO CUTE! She is all set for her 1st birthday party coming up this month, and I can’t wait to celebrate it with everyone!
Leo & Parker {9 months}
Last time, Leo and Parker weren’t too thrilled with their Halloween costume shoot, and although this time I didn’t get a lot of smiles, I sure got a whole lot of personality and overall cuteness. It has been so much fun watching these little guys grow up, and I can’t wait to take their 1 year photos in a few months!
Caleb {2 years}
Despite his interest in everything else BUT the camera and not wanting to get his photo taken, I think some pretty cute images were captured of my little nephew, Caleb. He is just shy of turning 2, and it’s been so fun to watch him grow and develop new skills… including already being interested in computers. I’m pretty sure he is going to follow the Bockelman way and become a computer nerd of some sort. Nothing to complain about there though, we love having them around.
Happy Birthday, Caleb! You’re becoming a handsome little man.
slobotski boys {6 months}
I’m so glad to see these boys good and healthy now. Awhile back, I photographed them just after they were born– a whole 2 months early. Only weighing around 2 lbs at that time, they now weigh a healthy amount and are as strong as can be. They have so much personality, and their facial expressions are priceless! They were pretty happy and content, right up until the end when their Halloween costumes were revealed. Although adorable to us, they wanted nothing to do with those costumes and I think wanted to just sleep at that point.
I look forward to capturing them again when they turn one!
trevden {1 year}
So much changes from the time a child is born until they are 1 year old. One of the most obvious is the amount of energy they have and the ability to be mobile. This little guy, Trevden, wanted nothing to do with sitting, and everything to do with running around and experiencing the world around him. Sometimes it is best to just let kids do what they do best and play, and then capture those moments. I’ve enjoyed capturing Trevden throughout his first year and watch him turn into an adorable little man!

Leila {6 months}
Seriously, how much more cute can a little girl get? If she keeps wearing adorable clothing (look at that hat!), I might just take her home with me the next time I see them.
Leila was just over 6 months for this shoot, and she is just as happy as can be. Who can blame her though when she has such loving and fun parents to be around? That, and my amazing peekaboo skills around the camera made her crack a smile — actually, I give her grandma props on that as she was a big help in getting her attention during the shoot.
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to capture the fun and love within this family. I’m privileged to call them my friends and am honored that they have asked me to capture these milestones within their lives.
jack {1 year}
It has been so much fun photographing Jack throughout his whole first year. Each shoot was 3 months apart, and it’s amazing how within that little time, they change dramatically! As mentioned before, he is around my nieces’ age, so since I can’t see her all that often, this has given me a sense of what she may be experiencing with the world around her as well. Everything is new to them, including, indulging in their very own birthday cake! I’ve never seen such a little person eat so much cake! Take a peek at some pre-cake clean photos, and then, he just loves his frosting and doesn’t even care if it has a little grass mixed in with it. I haven’t had a chance to ask, but I hope his tummy was okay after.
Thank you Amanda and Owen for having me be a part of such important steps in your son’s life! Happy Birthday to Jack!
Peterson family
It’s always a pleasure to spend time with the Peterson family. Awhile back, I photographed them with their first little girl, Brylee, which you can see here: http://www.leahbphoto.com/blog/2010/08/19/brylee/#more-586 Now that they have another addition to the family, Brookelynn, it was fun to capture them again at this moment in their lives. They are an adorable family with so much playfulness and love towards each other. And, I still can’t get over Brylee’s beautiful curly hair and now Brookelynn’s big blue eyes!
Jack {9 months}
I don’t think I can get enough of this little guy. This is my 4th time photographing him, and he seems to get more and more cute every time! I even think I am starting to recognize his patterns during a photo shoot. He starts out really bubbly and smiley, and then he will definitely let you know when he’s all done — you can even see it in his eyes that he gets sleepy. It probably didn’t help that it was in the 90′s with high humidity! We stayed out just long enough to get some adorable shots at this stage in his life. As I mentioned to Amanda and Owen, it’s nice to be seeing their child go through these stages being that Jack is very close to my niece’s age. And since I have only seen my niece once so far **tear **
— and yes, that’s a hint Laura and Jeremy to move closer
… I’m in a way able to see how quickly they change. I’m excited to see the Treibers once again when Jack turns 1 year!
Hayden {1 year}
As recently mentioned on my facebook page, I had a shoot this last weekend with one of my very first clients. Little Hayden is now all grown up and turning 1 years old next week! Seeing him now standing on his own, it makes me realize how fast time goes, as it seems like just yesterday that we captured him when he could barely lift his head. His hair is still so adorable I can’t even stand it! Emily and Tony, you better watch out, I can tell this little guy is going to catch all the ladies’ attention later in life.
Thank you for coming to our home for the shoot! I have really enjoyed getting to know your family this last year.
{vanessa}
Seriously, blond hair, blue eyes, how much more cute can a kid get!? I had such a fun time with this family on what may have been one of the last weekends we see leaves on our trees here! With the crazy wind we’ve been having, I’m glad I was able to get some shots with at least some color in the background. : ) Little Vanessa was so much fun to watch as she explored the world around her. Enjoy a few from the day!
