everett {1 year}
I love seeing the world through a one year old. Everything is still so new to them, and the facial expressions — oh those expressions are priceless! Little Everett had plenty of fun faces — most of the time he smiled from ear to ear, otherwise was in awe or looked surprised. He also loved playing peek-a-boo, blew kisses and tried to eat rocks. 😉 His blue eyes are just adorable and he sure loved looking at the camera. Happy one year, Everett!

If ever a baby slept beyond soundly, it was during almost the entirety of this shoot. Sweet little Boston was almost 3 weeks old when he arrived for his first shoot, so, I was a little worried that he might not get his snooze on. I was quite impressed though, as after our initial eyes open shots, he pretty much slept the whole time with barely any fuss. And speaking of eyes, look at those amazing blue eyes!!! — parents included. Upon meeting his mom and dad, I already felt like I knew them. Such a sweet family and fun to work with. 🙂 So happy that I will be doing Boston’s first year photos! Here’s a peek at some adorableness.
jennifer & mike {married}
Jennifer and Mike’s wedding day was full of laughter, fun and… rain!? The day started off overcast and the morning turned to wet, soggy, rain. Luckily, after the girls got their hair done, they were provided with caps to keep everything in place. It did dry up most of the day after that, and then the storms decided to roll in later that evening. It was an outdoor ceremony — at 6pm — so we all watched as the dark clouds approached with a little thunder and lightening. They had their first kiss just in time before it did start to rain again. Jennifer and Mike are so cute together and the details of the day were absolutely adorable. Everything revolved around music, since that plays such an important roll in their lives. From the symbol that was designed just for them and incorporated in the details throughout the day, including the cake — to the cufflinks and veil that had a cute little music note(s) on it; from the bride and groom tablecloth — to the awesome, energetic band that played the entire evening, everything was just perfect. Mike is a huge Vikings fan too, so purple was the main color. A lot of thought was put into the day, and if it is anything like their marriage, I can tell that they are going to be very happy together. 🙂 Congrats to Jennifer and Mike!

ryker {6 months}
Wide-eyed and big smiles — Ryker seems to be enjoying being in front of the camera. This was my third session with the little guy, and I have to say that he has the cutest toothless smile I’ve ever seen! 😉 I’m sure the toothless thing won’t be much longer though as he’s showing lots of signs of them coming in — including the drool stage and chewing on everything (like mom’s hair). jeanna & conor {married}
Beautiful couple + beautiful location + a beautiful day = one amazing wedding. Ever since Jeanna and Conor’s engagement photos, I had been looking forward to their big day! Taking place at the Hilton in downtown Omaha, and St John’s cathedral, it was a slightly more opposite day than I’m used to, as the ceremony took place at 6:30 pm — so we did most everything beforehand picture-wise, such as riding around in a limo and driving to different locations. Jeanna and Conor are such a stunning couple — it was fun to see them all dressed up in their wedding attire. Jeanna’s dress was gorgeous and she wore it so well. Their friends and family were enjoyable to be around, and, I thank the whole wedding party once again, for being so patient in the heat. I felt somewhat guilty for having them “hike” up the pedestrian bridge, as I didn’t want to mess anyone up before the actual ceremony! Everyone still looked just lovely after all was said and done, and we made our way to St John’s. 🙂 Here’s a peek at how their beautiful day unfolded!
jeannie & alex {married}
While I cannot say that I was physically at Jeannie and Alex’s wedding, I do feel like I was right there in the midst of everything after going through every. single. one. of the photos and editing/retouching them. I am still saddened that I had to get so horribly sick, and for the first time ever, have to call in for backup for a wedding! I guess there is a first for everything, but, hopefully it’s the only time. Thank goodness there were people willing to step up and help out — at the very last minute. Jeff Pope did an amazing job taking over the day, and after getting numerous texts about the bride and groom being happy, and “no worries, he’s great!” from the bride, I was able to rest up knowing everyone was in good hands. 🙂
How fun was this wedding!? Jeannie and Alex both looked amazing, and the details of the day were just awesome. After doing their engagement photos, I knew they were a super sweet, fun couple, so I didn’t expect anything less for their wedding day. A mariachi band, RICE KRISPIE cake, candy bar and dress up attire are just a few fun details to name. I know that family and friends came from near and far, so I hope that everyone had an amazing day and can look back on the wonderful memories for years to come.

caroline {3 months}
Just a few months ago, I photographed Caroline as a newborn (shown here) and was thrilled to be doing the 3 session first year package with her, but even more excited when 3 and 9 month sessions were added on. I’d want as many photos of this beautiful little lady as I could too — she is a doll! Seeing her and her brother, Jack, together just warms my heart. We got a ton of smiles right away, and of course many of times when the camera was not on her, but the first one, I think, truly shows what her personality is like. Adorable and so happy. Then, after about a 10 minute nap, she was just so chill — giving me the serious looks. I was amazed that she was standing holding onto something already! She is so strong. I’m sure it helps to have an older brother to try and keep up with. At that rate, she will be walking by 8 months — be ready, Amanda and Owen! 😉 Here’s a peek at this sweet little girl and her beautiful family.

On June 28, my friend, Lindsay, had her second little boy, Alex — and oooohh my, is he adorable! It has been awhile since I’ve seen a newborn with SO much hair!! It is so cute, and he actually looks older than just a few weeks. He was totally rocking the messy look, and both boys looked so precious together. Max is so excited to be an older brother, and, we managed to get a few super cute ones with him giving lots of snuggles and kisses to Alex before he went off to snuggle and play with one of his besties — my daughter. 😉 Alex was an amazing sleeper and slept through almost the entire shoot! I was so happy to be able to capture the newest sweet little addition to the Coulter family. 🙂
kim & vince {married}
Recently, I not only got to be a part of our friend’s wedding in Jamaica, but a mini engagement shoot and my very first trash-the-dress session also took place — three fun events packed into one long weekend in paradise! It was perfect. I was thrilled when Vince and Kim asked me to photograph their big day. I knew it would be an intimate, relaxed setting, and I was more than happy to say yes. The wedding ceremony took place on a cute little gazebo with the beautiful turquoise water surrounding them. Family and friends were able to sit within a few feet of them, something you don’t always see in a church setting! I loved it. So personal, sweet, and fit the personalities of Vince and Kim perfectly. Relaxing on the beach after and dinner at the Hibachi Grill was a great way to wrap up the day. I was happy when Kim was excited about doing a trash-the-dress session too! What better location could you have than near an ocean!? It had just rained that afternoon, so a puddle shot was a must as well as ending it with the outdoor shower. I loved the perfect balance of fun and romance in all of the events. Kim and Vince both looked amazing and seem so happy. I’m happy we were able to be a part of it all. Here’s a peek at their beautiful time in JAMAICA!

tyler {one year}
I was happy to take Tyler’s one year photos while he and his parents were back in town from Vegas! Although, sometimes I want to just press a “slow down” button when parents come to me asking to take their kiddo’s 1 year photos — didn’t I JUST take their newborn, 6 month, etc. photos!? 😉 Where does the time go? It was nice to have his grandparents along too, as I know the whole family. Tyler is a blond hair, blue-eyed cutie who is now on the move — he’s been walking since 9 months! He had all kind of emotions going, but the best part was seeing his happy expressions, especially when his favorite music was played. This little guy has got rhythm! 😉 There was some dancin’, flower pickin’, cake eatin’ and lastly, a BUBBLE bath to wash a way the mess.

kate & sam {married}
Kate & Sam’s wedding was a perfect combination of classy and fun. It fit their personalities perfectly, which is the way your big day should be! Kate and Sam are one of those couples that just radiate love and warmth to all those around them. Both looked absolutely amazing and were sooo relaxed! I am so happy that they had me be a part of it all — such a fun day! Everyone was so warm and welcoming from the first moment I pulled up — I was offered help in carrying my lights in, and then again, on my way out the door. I have to give a big thanks to Chrystal Cooper as well as she helped me tackle getting the formal shots in. 🙂 Both sides had a lot, and and mean, a lot of people in their family! So much fun, I’m sure, all being together on such a joyous occasion. The day unfolded just beautifully, starting out at Holy Cross Church, and at the end of it all, they celebrated hard at the Scott Conference Center. First starting off with the speeches — I have to say that everyone was truly an amazing speaker. They spoke straight from the heart with much humor as well, and a few times I even had a few tears in my eyes! Oh, and shall I mention their cutting the cake with a sword!? Yes, a sword. 😉 Here’s a peek into an amazing couple on their beautiful day.
andrew {1 year}
I had been looking forward to seeing this family again after I photographed Andrew for the first time just a few months ago at nine months. This time, we celebrated his first birthday, plus, it was his daddy’s first Father’s day, so even more special. 🙂 Andrew has the cutest smile and is now a fan of waving and clapping his hands. He was treated with a yummy cake just his size, and although a little timid about it at first, he didn’t hesitate to dig right in once he realized how delicious it was. kim & jim {married}
The first wedding of the season took place outside at Tiburon Golf Course in Omaha. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day. Not too hot, barely any wind, and overcast skies, all made for a pleasant afternoon. It feels like quite some time ago when I first captured Kim and Jim during their engagement session, so I was very much looking forward to their wedding. Both are naturals in front of the camera, and you can definitely feel the love they share for each other. And, Kim has not only gained a husband, but also a son. A sweet family of 3, with so much to look forward to. Here’s a peek at how their day unfolded as they were surrounded by their friends and family.
elizabeth & josh {siblings}
Although I love my older sister, I kind of always thought it would be fun to have a brother, so, it’s a good thing I married into a family with 2 of them! I photographed two adorable kiddos recently, Josh and Elizabeth, and it is always cute to see how two siblings, specifically an older brother and younger sister, interact. I must say, these two are opposite when it comes to being in front of the camera. Josh loved giving me the biggest smiles (along with his first missing tooth!), and Elizabeth was more about the serious look and running away. 🙂 Of course age plays a role in this too, but, it is always so fun to see little personalities come out so young. I always find that peek-a-boo wins every child’s heart (and smile). 😉
libby {newborn}
Meet Elizabeth “Libby” who was just 5 days old at our shoot! Libby’s mother is sister’s with some of our good friends, so I was so happy to see that she was expecting, and even happier when she asked me to photograph Libby’s first year! Libby is a little sweetheart who loves being in the arms of her parents. Although I loved seeing her with her eyes open (she has a beautiful deep blue tint to them), when we wanted her to drift off into dreamland, we had our various ways of getting her there, including mama feeding her and daddy marching, yes marching (and humming), with her. It worked well! And once she was there, I almost didn’t want to move her as she looked so peaceful. 🙂 Here’s a peek at some sweet moments of the day!
ryker {3 months}
Ryker is just 3 months old, and not only does he have a bubbly little personality, his facial expressions are so stinkin’ cute! Always wide-eyed and incredibly curious of the world around him, I can tell that he is going to keep his parents very busy as he is already trying to get a move on. Rolling from his front to his back already, and pushing with his legs every chance he gets, from my experience with my daughter, I can almost guarantee he will be walking by 10 months. 🙂 Can’t wait to watch him grow and see how much he’s changed at 6 months! It was not that long ago that I captured the Carlson family just before they were expecting their second baby. They met their 2nd son on April 25, and I was able to capture him at just 10 days old. He is absolutely precious, and a great little model! Sleeping almost the whole time, he could not have been anymore relaxed. Dane is one happy big brother, and Arica and Ryan seem like naturals with the two of them already. Be sure to check out the adorable Hershey bar announcement that Arica’s sister designed and brought back to life from when they were newborns. Very clever. 🙂

I must say, the Treibers sure make cute babies! Caroline Nicole was born on April 12, and what a sweetie she is! I seriously could have snuggled her all day. I have been photographing the Treiber family for years now, ever since their son, Jack, was a newborn, and I’ve loved every single session with them! Caroline did amazing at her first shoot. Barely a fuss out of her. Just a happy, content little peanut who loves being close to her parents and whom is already loved dearly by her big brother. I am excited to also photograph her throughout her first year, and I can already tell she’s going to be a beautiful little lady. Congrats to the whole Treiber family!

Another year gone by and wow has she grown! Our daughter, Natalie, is 2 years old today! She is a perfect combination of sweet and sassy and is definitely developing the vocabulary to display those characteristics. 😉 She has so much spunk, curiosity of the world, and love (for her friends/family, Cat and The Hat, Dinosaur Train, her puppies, “special treats” — amongst other things that are really important in a toddler world). We are so proud of the little lady she is already becoming and so happy to be celebrating her big day today! 🙂

I believe that every child is a miracle, and over the years, I have realized how truly amazing carrying an unborn child is. I love capturing soon-to-be mothers, as there is something so special about that time before baby enters this world. Arica is a gorgeous mom, and she was seriously glowing the entire shoot (even though she said that this one has decided to use her as a punching bag — it didn’t show). 😉 She wanted a more natural approach to the shots, so upon discovering a beautiful field nearby their house, it was a perfect location to end the shoot at. We incorporated her love of gardening with some gardening gloves, and, the soon-to-be big brother, Dane, used his handy little stethoscope to listen for baby. I am so excited for them to welcome this new little one into their family in just a few weeks!
jessica & tim {engaged}
This last weekend, I photographed a super sweet couple, Jessica and Tim, whom recently got engaged after meeting on an airplane for the first time years ago. We started at their home, since the front porch is where Tim proposed. We then ended the evening at beautiful Lake Cunningham, which I had not known existed before they told me about it. Such a serene location, and a perfect place to capture these two since they spend much time there fishing. We had quite the adventure there too, pretty much laughing the entire time. We even did a little “rock climbing” and it was there that Jessica stated “I love rocks.” I guess you had to maybe be there, but that statement cracked me up and just summed up our whole evening. Pure bliss. If they are as cute and loving behind the doors as they were in front of the camera, I can tell that they are going to have a very happy marriage. Congrats to these two!
andrew {9 months}
After his parents were referred to me by my mother-in-law (thanks, Rose!), we set up a time to take some photos of this sweet little boy, Andrew, who is 9 months old! I really enjoyed getting to know his parents — they both are super sweet and I felt like we had already had multiple sessions together prior to this. 🙂 Considering that this was one of Andrew’s first times in a photo studio setup, he did so good! Smiles were plentiful, and we found that he was most comfortable with minimal clothing, shaking a maraca or riding his plane or horse. Without those distractions, he was definitely using his crawling abilities to try and escape at times. 😉 Here’s a peek at this blue-eyed cutie pie!
cole {1 year}
I am really finding it hard to believe that Cole is going to be 1 year in about a month! It feels like we just celebrated our friends welcoming their new little boy into the world, and now he’s crawling like crazy, almost walking, mumbling a few words, and definitely showing an adorable little personality already. He is usually the happiest little man, but this time he was not in the best of moods when we began the shoot, and knowing that he is teething (those darn teeth!), a few methods of soothing perked him right up just in time to enjoy his cake smash! Speaking of which, he more or less poked his fingers in it for the first few minutes, and then finally tasted it. I’m not quite sure that he’s a fan of cake though. 😉 We of course captured a few shots of the whole family — and it does not surprise me that Cole is photogenic, just like the rest of his family! The Peterson girls have always been cuties (who are growing up too fast), and now they have a sweet baby brother that has joined the family! Bryce, who was born back in September, is a handsome little guy with bright blue eyes. Although I’m not sure if he knew what he was getting into joining a family of almost all girls, he definitely has a pretty chill personality and seems to be okay with it. 😉 It is so cute how personalities shine through, even at such a young age. You can always tell who likes to have their photo taken, and who would rather be playing elsewhere. 😉 We were able to capture some cute moments of the whole family — here’s a few from the day!
