When this fam showed up, I got the sweetest hug from a cute curly-haired little boy! That is the best way to start a session. 😉 And I always enjoy chatting with mom and dad. Such a sweet fam! Here’s a peek at our time together.

This cutie pie is turning ONE! She looked so lovely in her fluffy dress that matched her big, blue eyes. And she looked bee-autiful in her yellow outfit, too! She was a bit hesitant when it came to trying some cake at the very end, and even kept looking to her mom for “permission” to eat. 😉 Here’s a peek!

Always love meeting new families and hearing their stories of how they end up in Omaha if they are new to town. These two sisters are in town for a short time before Karen heads to Hawaii for her traveling nurse career. It is so fun that they decided to do a little shoot together with their families, and I’m glad I was chosen to capture them! Including their dog, Athena, was so special as she doesn’t have much longer left. And we had fun exploring downtown on an unusual warm Fall evening. Here’s a peek!

Sometimes it is hard trying to coordinate getting your whole extended family together, but when you can, I am finding it so, so important to capture those moments! I was so happy that a friend asked me to capture her whole family and suggested their beautiful property out in the country as the location. Absolutely LOVED the location and the most gorgeous sunset we had at the end. They did a great job coordinating outfits for such a large group! This beauty drove a few hours from Iowa to have me capture her Senior photos! I feel so blessed and honored that my clients refer me to their friends and family, and that they trust me to capture their special events and milestones. I always enjoy capturing this sweet family! Even though the boys keep getting longer, they still have the cute baby faces from when I first captured them years ago. And Andrew definitely likes giving the serious look. 😉 We had the most gorgeous night and ended with a lovely sunset.

My cousin, who introduced me to my now husband, and who currently lives in Italy came to town recently and asked me to capture her husband’s whole side of the family! Of course I would! When you’re not all together very often, I find it so important to capture these times you do share together. Such a beautiful fam, and I really enjoyed spending time with my cousin and her beautiful little girl during their visit. Even though I was sweating like crazy, you would never know that it felt like a million % humid out, they all look so fresh and lovely! Here’s a peek!

When you’re celebrating your 50th anniversary and all your family is in town, it is a good time to capture the whole gang together! So happy to have met this sweet family and photograph right in their beautiful backyard.

Upon meeting both Becky and her mom, I could tell they were going to be fun to hang out with and work with for Becky’s senior session. She did such a great job and is a natural beauty with the most gorgeous long locks! It was fun exploring a new area with them, and I’m so glad that her boyfriend came for a few shots as well. Recently, I had a chance to photograph this sweet military family of 5 who reminded me of my family! Six year ago, we too were in the same boat of a 4 year old girl and boy/girl newborn twins. They seem to already be champs with the addition of their two cuties. Though the twins spent a good amount of time in the nicu, thankfully they were still nice and sleepy (eventually) for our session to get some super adorable shots! I think they most enjoyed when the air (heat) was almost turned up to 80…! 😅 We will blame electronics. Here is a peek at their sweet session!

What a cute little session this was! We couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day. The last time I photographed their little cutie was when he was a newborn. He has grown so much since! Though he was not a big fan of the camera and more curious about exploring the world around him, we got some cute shots and mom and dad coordinated so nicely for a Springtime look! Here’s a peek!

Mr Myles was not wanting to sleep right away, but thanks to some snacking from mom and baby whispering from dad, he finally got there and was oh-s0-squishable and adorable. Little sis seemed to adore him and is going to be such a good helper someday! Get ready for some cuteness overload.

It was wonderful meeting this sweet family and photographing their newest little boy, Connor James! He was one of the most content, happy little babies who gave me the sweetest looks before taking a snooze. It is always fun to watch siblings interact with a new baby, and he will certainly have a bunch of protectors as he grows up!

It was fun meeting a new family recently and capturing their extended family photos! They celebrated the littlest cutie’s 1st birthday that day, too, so I was glad to be a part of that milestone. November in the Midwest you might expect a freezing cold morning, but the day of this session was so nice! At least I thought so… the kiddos may have thought otherwise. 😉 Here’s a peek!

After first meeting them at church, and my husband knowing them from the college days, I was so happy when Nicole reached out to have me photograph her beautiful family! Their kiddos are all adorable, both inside and out, just like mom and dad. And the two things I got out of the session is that I might have Brian come be my assistant with posing/styling from now on, and Nicole and I are going to lounge at a pool built in one of our backyards someday…. 😉 Here’s a peek at our time together!

Love when you meet new families and you instantly feel like you’ve known them for awhile. Maybe it helps that this one has 5 year old twins and and older daughter, so the same as my family, but they were all just so sweet and fun to work with! It was so cute at one point during the session, we ran into a black cat that just kept following us around and made an appearance in our photos. I think he liked and appreciated the dresses that the girls were wearing. 😉 Also, check out that BEAUTIFUL sunset we had!

Sweet Madeline was so incredibly content during her session that she slept pretty much the entire time! Even between wrap changes, going outside and her brothers making some noise. 😉 I can tell that she is so very loved and a little joy in her family’s life. Here’s a peek!

I absolutely loved photographing these two cute girls in their dance costumes, so it was fun to capture them once again along with their whole family! They are all so sweet and so photogenic. And when I asked dad to do a push up after the kids pig-piled on him, I was so surprised that he didn’t hesitate one second and just went for it. I’m pretty sure that was the best part of the kiddo’s night. 😉 We had a beautiful Fall day which I am so thankful for ~ here’s a peek!
kahla & cory // married // 2021
As I sit here editing on this cold, windy and rainy day, I am so thankful for the beautiful day that Kahla and Cory had for their wedding! Their reception was under a tent by the river, so it worked out so well to have a gorgeous Fall day. I absolutely love the story of how these two met — a complete God thing. They were introduced by the groom’s sister just this year, engaged in July, and they bridged their long-distance relationship quite quickly after that! You can absolutely feel the love of these two (or rather 3 as Kahla also said yes to Cory’s sweet little boy, too!) It really seems like they have all known each other for years! Kahla is a natural mama and was absolutely glowing on her big day! I am still amazed by her organizational skills and how they pulled everything together so beautifully in just a few short months. Praying many blessings to this sweet family in the years to come!

I have so enjoyed watching these sweet friends grow over the years and still love how we will always have a bond of being in a similar boat with an older sibling and now 5 year old twins.
