I hadn’t seen Boston since his newborn session, so it’s always fun to see what a baby’s personality is like during their next shoot. This little man was a perfect model — he should probably be in a Gap ad or a Gerber baby commercial. So sweet, and he has the most perfect skin, like mommy and daddy. 🙂 Though we got many smiles from him, he also has a very wise look. I am already excited to see him for his 1st birthday photos, as I think he’ll have a ton of fun with a cake smash. Here’s a peek at Boston’s 6 month shoot!
noah
Jill and Chase’s wedding was one of the very first that I captured alone back in 2009! Just before Christmas this last year, Jill’s sister asked to purchase a gift card for Jill as they had a new member of their family — Noah! Such a sweet gesture, and, I guess when Jill found out, she mentioned that, ” I cried I think as hard as I did at my wedding when I found out it would be done by you!!” I love hearing stuff like that. 😉
Their son, Noah, could not be any more precious. Due on July 7th, he decided to make his entrance into the world in late April instead! Although it was a difficult time for the whole family, it was all worth it when they finally got to bring him home. You would never know that this strong little man came early. And, can we just talk about that adorable hair that goes straight into a natural mohawk when you brush it!? Pair that with his gorgeous blue eyes — this one is going to be a heart breaker when he’s older. 😉 Such a happy and curious little man — I had fun taking his photos!
jenn & pat {maternity}
Jenn and Pat were some of the first friends I was introduced to here in Omaha before moving. They knew my husband long before I ever met him, so, always have some fun stories for me. 😉 Jenn quickly became that friend, that no matter how busy life gets, or how much time is in between our hangouts, its seems like just yesterday that we saw each other. I was very happy for them when I heard that they were expecting, as, I know they will be great parents! I have known them for being huge dog lovers, so, of course their first “babies” had to be included in the shoot. Jenn looks absolutely beautiful and has the cutest little baby bump! Because she has such a tiny frame, you may never even know that she’s 32 weeks! They are thrilled to be welcoming he or she (it’s a surprise!) come April…

libby {6 months}
Sweet little Libby is growing up so quickly! Last time I saw her she was just a newborn, now she has a vibrant personality with the BEST facial expressions ever! Seriously, this kiddo was happy throughout the entire session, and when she wasn’t smiling, she had the cutest surprised/confused look. I noticed that she is in the “chomping on her toes” phase, so I made sure to capture a few of those fun moments as that only lasts a few weeks! Such a beautiful little girl with the sweetest parents. caroline {6 months}
Ohhh sweet Caroline…oh oh oh. Seriously, what a cutie, and look at those big brown eyes that you could just melt into. 6 months old is such a fun age. Not only are they curious about everything around them, but, you can still doll them up in whatever you’d like (such as adorable headbands) and they can’t quite rip them off yet if they disapprove. 😉 Hanging out with pumpkins, her older brother, and, snuggling up with her family in the cold is what this shoot consisted of. A crisp fall day, but so much warmth coming from this family. Love them! I am already anticipating Caroline’s 9 month photos!
boston {newborn}
If ever a baby slept beyond soundly, it was during almost the entirety of this shoot. Sweet little Boston was almost 3 weeks old when he arrived for his first shoot, so, I was a little worried that he might not get his snooze on. I was quite impressed though, as after our initial eyes open shots, he pretty much slept the whole time with barely any fuss. And speaking of eyes, look at those amazing blue eyes!!! — parents included. Upon meeting his mom and dad, I already felt like I knew them. Such a sweet family and fun to work with. 🙂 So happy that I will be doing Boston’s first year photos! Here’s a peek at some adorableness.
ryker {6 months}
Wide-eyed and big smiles — Ryker seems to be enjoying being in front of the camera. This was my third session with the little guy, and I have to say that he has the cutest toothless smile I’ve ever seen! 😉 I’m sure the toothless thing won’t be much longer though as he’s showing lots of signs of them coming in — including the drool stage and chewing on everything (like mom’s hair). Can’t miss out on capturing those details right? 😉 Here’s a peek at Ryker’s half birthday!
caroline {3 months}
Just a few months ago, I photographed Caroline as a newborn (shown here) and was thrilled to be doing the 3 session first year package with her, but even more excited when 3 and 9 month sessions were added on. I’d want as many photos of this beautiful little lady as I could too — she is a doll! Seeing her and her brother, Jack, together just warms my heart. We got a ton of smiles right away, and of course many of times when the camera was not on her, but the first one, I think, truly shows what her personality is like. Adorable and so happy. Then, after about a 10 minute nap, she was just so chill — giving me the serious looks. I was amazed that she was standing holding onto something already! She is so strong. I’m sure it helps to have an older brother to try and keep up with. At that rate, she will be walking by 8 months — be ready, Amanda and Owen! 😉 Here’s a peek at this sweet little girl and her beautiful family.
alex {newborn}
On June 28, my friend, Lindsay, had her second little boy, Alex — and oooohh my, is he adorable! It has been awhile since I’ve seen a newborn with SO much hair!! It is so cute, and he actually looks older than just a few weeks. He was totally rocking the messy look, and both boys looked so precious together. Max is so excited to be an older brother, and, we managed to get a few super cute ones with him giving lots of snuggles and kisses to Alex before he went off to snuggle and play with one of his besties — my daughter. 😉 Alex was an amazing sleeper and slept through almost the entire shoot! I was so happy to be able to capture the newest sweet little addition to the Coulter family. 🙂
libby {newborn}
Meet Elizabeth “Libby” who was just 5 days old at our shoot! Libby’s mother is sister’s with some of our good friends, so I was so happy to see that she was expecting, and even happier when she asked me to photograph Libby’s first year! Libby is a little sweetheart who loves being in the arms of her parents. Although I loved seeing her with her eyes open (she has a beautiful deep blue tint to them), when we wanted her to drift off into dreamland, we had our various ways of getting her there, including mama feeding her and daddy marching, yes marching (and humming), with her. It worked well! And once she was there, I almost didn’t want to move her as she looked so peaceful. 🙂 Here’s a peek at some sweet moments of the day!
ryker {3 months}
Ryker is just 3 months old, and not only does he have a bubbly little personality, his facial expressions are so stinkin’ cute! Always wide-eyed and incredibly curious of the world around him, I can tell that he is going to keep his parents very busy as he is already trying to get a move on. Rolling from his front to his back already, and pushing with his legs every chance he gets, from my experience with my daughter, I can almost guarantee he will be walking by 10 months. 🙂 Can’t wait to watch him grow and see how much he’s changed at 6 months! It was not that long ago that I captured the Carlson family just before they were expecting their second baby. They met their 2nd son on April 25, and I was able to capture him at just 10 days old. He is absolutely precious, and a great little model! Sleeping almost the whole time, he could not have been anymore relaxed. Dane is one happy big brother, and Arica and Ryan seem like naturals with the two of them already. Be sure to check out the adorable Hershey bar announcement that Arica’s sister designed and brought back to life from when they were newborns. Very clever. 🙂

I must say, the Treibers sure make cute babies! Caroline Nicole was born on April 12, and what a sweetie she is! I seriously could have snuggled her all day. I have been photographing the Treiber family for years now, ever since their son, Jack, was a newborn, and I’ve loved every single session with them! Caroline did amazing at her first shoot. Barely a fuss out of her. Just a happy, content little peanut who loves being close to her parents and whom is already loved dearly by her big brother. I am excited to also photograph her throughout her first year, and I can already tell she’s going to be a beautiful little lady. Congrats to the whole Treiber family!

I believe that every child is a miracle, and over the years, I have realized how truly amazing carrying an unborn child is. I love capturing soon-to-be mothers, as there is something so special about that time before baby enters this world. Arica is a gorgeous mom, and she was seriously glowing the entire shoot (even though she said that this one has decided to use her as a punching bag — it didn’t show). 😉 She wanted a more natural approach to the shots, so upon discovering a beautiful field nearby their house, it was a perfect location to end the shoot at. We incorporated her love of gardening with some gardening gloves, and, the soon-to-be big brother, Dane, used his handy little stethoscope to listen for baby. I am so excited for them to welcome this new little one into their family in just a few weeks!
ryker william {newborn}
It was not that long ago that I captured Robin and Eric just before they were expecting. Ryker William was born on February 5, and what a sweet little boy he is, and so lucky to have Robin and Eric as parents. I can’t say that he thoroughly enjoyed being my baby model, but, I could tell that he was always most comfortable right in the arms of his parents. We captured some super sweet moments with them, as well as a few here and there when he would close his eyes momentarily. It was too cute though as he always seemed to be peeking with just one eye — making sure he knew what was going on! I’m excited to see this little guy grow in the next year — soon enough, he will be walkin’ and talkin’. 😉

I photographed Robin and Eric’s wedding back in April, so I was so excited when they came to me with the wonderful news of expecting their first little one come February 2014! They are not finding out if it is a boy or girl, and I give them so much credit for being able to hold out! Robin looks absolutely amazing — a glowing soon-to-be mommy. You can tell that they are truly excited to become parents, and I wish them all the best as they approach this new journey. I am also so happy to be able to photograph their baby’s first year! Can’t wait to meet the little one.

It feels like just yesterday that I captured Joyce and Jeff’s first born, Lindsey, as a newborn. Here she is almost 2 years old, and they’ve now welcomed a sweet new little lady into their family — Cassidy Lynn. If the two girls were born at the same time, they might have been mistaken as twins — they have so many similar features! And check out all that hair! So cute. Cassidy did wonderful during her first shoot, with exception to the grand finale (which we won’t get into — it’s not her fault we were slow in putting a diaper on!) 😉 She was a great little sleeper which allowed for some fun posing! Thank you, Joyce and Jeff, for coming to my place for the shoot! You have adorable girls and I can’t wait to capture more of your sweet family in the future. 🙂
kenzie & ander {newborn}
Back in April, I took these photos of a beautiful momma-to-be expecting triplets. Just a few months later, I was told both the exciting and sad news — the babies were delivered, but about two months early. Kenzie and Ander are the surviving triplets, and Gabriel, their angel brother, is now watching over them. As a mother, I could not imagine the pain of losing one that you’ve carried inside you for so long, but knowing how strong Kasey is, and with the support of her amazing husband, I know that they will continue to be the incredible parents they are meant to be for their two little sweethearts, and forever keep Gabriel in their hearts. I was honored to capture this bittersweet time of their lives, and so happy to meet Kenzie and Ander, who are absolute dolls. Although much of the time they decided to be on the complete opposite page — one sleeping while the other was wide awake, and visa versa, we got some adorable moments. I love the hats that they chose as well! So cute. 🙂

audrey & evan {newborn}
Audrey and Evan’s original birth date would have been tomorrow. Instead, they decided to arrive a whole 2 months early on March 30! It wasn’t long ago that I met their parents, Bridget and Brian, at Bridget’s sister’s wedding that I shot. Bridget was a beautiful soon-to-be momma who was a trooper the whole time, even though she was to be on bed rest. Little did she know she’d be expecting their little one’s arrival one week later! Both babies are now home and healthy, and their parents couldn’t be more proud. They are little sweetie pies and did amazing during their shoot. Though they were sleepy most of the time, we’d occasionally have them completely opposite where one was wide awake and the other passed out. A bit of a challenge, but still adorable. I can already tell that Bridget and Brian are going to be amazing parents, and I am so happy that they had me capture this special time of their lives!

I love it when I hear from past wedding clients requesting another photo shoot, as it most likely means that they are expecting! Jessica and Reed, who’s wedding seems like just yesterday, had their first baby boy on April 23! A handsome little man named Elijah. I had the pleasure of photographing this little sweetie when he was about 2 weeks old, and he was determined to stay awake almost the entire time! 😉 We captured some sweet moments and even had him model a cute knitted hat from his grandma as well as Husker gear (his entire family are huge fans — so he really had no choice at birth but to become one too). 😉 Here’s a sneak peek at our little shoot! cole william {newborn}
It feels like just yesterday that I took pictures of our friend’s first born (shown here), and now, they welcomed baby Cole into the family on April 11, 2013. Both came out with a full head of hair — it is TOO cute!! Jen and Brad are definitely very natural at parenthood, but it is seen even more so with their second, they are pros now. Although they adore their little lady and all things that come with girls (PINK!), they were thrilled for a boy as they can dress him in camouflage that isn’t pink, and Brad now has a hunting buddy. 😉 Emily is especially excited to be a big sister — she [might] just share her favorite pink tea set with Cole eventually. For now, there are plenty of kisses that she loves to give. What a beautiful family they are — so excited to watch our kids grow up together!
micah {newborn}
I may be biased, but gosh I have an adorable niece and nephew. It feels like just yesterday that I captured little Emma as a newborn (shown here), and now recently, we made a trip up to Wisconsin to meet the newest little member of my sister’s family! Micah Munro was born on March 25. What a little sweetie pie. He was such a good baby — barely cried the whole time we were there. Granted, my sister and her hubby may have another opinion with night wakings and such, but he seems to bring so much joy to them –which always makes up for the lack of sleep. 😉 We are predicting that he is going to be an amazing swimmer (maybe even the next Michael Phelps) as he was born with his long and third toe being webbed — on both feet! The pictures don’t show it very well, but in person it is too cute. Can’t wait to see this handsome little man grow up! Just wished we all lived closer!
charlie {newborn}
Charlie is now 3 weeks old! This little man decided to stay awake the whole time, with exception of maybe a 3 minute nap. He was so alert and just seemed to take in everything that was going on around him. Of course his momma told me that after I left he crashed hard — it is so much work to be a model! 😉 His hair is so stinkin’ cute the way it stands up. I’ve been told that it is naturally like that — he came into the world with styled hair. So fun. Here’s a peek at his adorableness.

You would never know that this girl mentioned she was nervous for the shoot — she was such a natural! Seriously, I think she should be a model. Her glowing soon-to-be mother look is just beautiful and completely encompasses what motherhood is all about — a slight look of the unknown, yet, pure happiness all in one. She and her husband are expecting triplets! Two boys and a girl. What an amazing experience it will be. I can tell that there will be plenty of love to go around to all of them.
