Little Rydlee is now 18 months, and without realizing it at first, we went back to the same place we captured her big brother’s 18 month photos in downtown Elkhorn — so many years ago! So fun watching these kiddos grow. Rydlee is definitely breaking in some new teeth, so wasn’t the happiest camper, but we still managed to get a few smiles and shots without the fingers in the mouth! 😉 Puddle jumping definitely brings out pure JOY! The flowers are finally blooming, the grass and trees are a beautiful green, there’s no better time to take family photos! I always have a great time capturing the Lukehart family. Emilia took a bit longer to warm up to the camera, but boy is she one CUTE one year old! She especially enjoyed her cake smash at the end. 😉 Here’s a peek at this beautiful Spring session!
delaynie & easton // 1 year
Delaynie and Easton are absolutely precious. It was so much fun capturing their first year photos ~ even though they weren’t too keen on giving me smiles. Mr Easton warmed up a little bit, while the little lady gave me more of the serious attitude. They really remind me of my twins. Maybe it’s just a boy/girl thing? 😉 Either way, they are ADORBS. nicholas // 1 year + family photos
Nicholas is looking more and more like his big brother with those big blue eyes and blonde hair. Two little studs and so sweet! We had fun exploring the park, though I found out one of my favorite 100+ year old trees was cut down! It made for a nice backdrop, but it’s still so sad to see such a large tree like that go. Nicholas even got a little taste of a cupcake to celebrate his big day. Happy 1 year big guy!
asher {1 year}
I feel like I have been surrounded by one year olds lately! All my clients babies all of a sudden are no longer BABIES! They now have little personalities, more hair, some are walking and even talking! Oh how so much changes in just a year. Asher is the sweetest, most squishable little boy, and if ever two kids looked alike, it is he and his big sister. I always enjoy spending time and catching up with the Poppen family! ryker {4 years}
And just like that, Ryker is four! We celebrated by capturing some sweet moments with his parents, sister and grandparents, and even got a little fresh air in this crazy, unpredictable Nebraskan weather. 😉 Here’s a peek at handsome mister Rykeroo!

Though sweet little Abigail doesn’t yet understand the concept of turning one, she can someday look back at these sweet photos we captured to celebrate HER, because, well, turning one is kind of a big deal — for both her and her parents! 😉 She looked so cute in her holiday attire, and then, during her cake smash. alivia // 1 year
I loved taking photos of sweet Alivia and her family over the summer, so was happy to also take her one year photos! She is still such a doll and could most definitely be a little Gerber baby model. She is probably one of the most dainty babies I’ve seen when it comes to a cake smash ~ just nibbled off a little corner and was satisfied. 😉 Here’s a peek at her first year photos! How lucky am I that this is the 4th time I’ve captured sweet Rydlee, and she’s not even one!! 😉 I love that her parents see the importance of capturing each milestone over the year, as they change SO much. Leila + Sloane, it has been so much fun watching them grow! Still feels like just yesterday that I took their newborn photos. Even though poor Sloane wasn’t feeling the best, we got a few smiles out of her still — just leave it to peek-a-boo, puddle stomping and dancing to their favorite songs! Oh Asher, you are as cute as a button, just like your big sis!
6 months and quite the little personality already, this little man didn’t give me all the smiles, but, was definitely curious about the camera. Those big eyes just captivate you! He is such a chill, little dude who doesn’t seem to mind his big sis giving him lots of smooches, hugs and cuddles. It’s always fun watching siblings interact.

It was a pleasure meeting up with the Johnson family last week and capturing their sweet little boy who is about to turn ONE! He is such a cutie, with blonde hair and blue eyes (a heart-breaker one day I presume) 😉 Though a little intimidated by the camera at first, he warmed up eventually, and I would have never believed his parents that he smiled when someone fake coughed, until I tried it towards the end. What a cute reaction I got! Here’s a peek at Joey’s first birthday photos filled with balloons, cute hats, his side-kicks (bear and puppy friends) and most of all, love. 🙂
abigail {7 months}
So glad my clients picked out a new park I’ve never shot in — the lighting and everything about it was just beautiful! And Abigail is such a cutie — just all smiles when I first met her! Luckily, that smile stayed around for most of the shoot, though she got a little hot and tired towards the end. Her outfits were absolutely adorable– I can tell her mama already has too much fun with all the adorable headbands and outfit options for little girls. 🙂 Here’s a peek at her little shoot in the park!
rydlee {6 months}
Sweet little Rydlee just keeps growing, growing, growing! Though she wasn’t the biggest fan of this shoot, she still gave us some adorable shots with those beautiful blue eyes. And of course got lots of snuggles with her family. Here’s a peek at Rydlee’s 6 months!

Sweet little William is turning one soon, and what a cutie he is!! It’s a hard age to get smiles all the time, but when you throw in airplanes, tickles, peek-a-boo and a favorite stuffed animal, it all works out. 😉 His parents are the sweetest, and I can tell that he is SO loved. It’s always crazy to see how quickly kids change when they’re little. Last time I saw Blake, she was hardly crawling, now, she’s running around everywhere! She’s a cute little blue-eyed blondie who seems like a very chill girl and just turned ONE at the end of May. It’s been such a joy capturing her throughout her first year, just as I did her little brother. It’s also been fun having this adorable family in our neighborhood and having our kiddos getting together to play! Besides getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, I absolutely cannot get enough of shooting in our glorious park! 😉

I love meeting new families, especially when they are as sweet as this trio. It was a pleasure to take their family photos and see how happy their adorable little lady was pretty much the whole time! Her smile is absolutely contagious — and it probably helped that she had her grandma and grandpa in the background making her giggle. 😉 I can tell that Sarah and Nate are natural and loving parents ~ she is lucky to have them! She is their rainbow baby, and this shoot was perfect timing as this is the day after tornadoes swept through Omaha and left a rainbow at the end. A good reminder, that even through the storms, there is always hope.

Happy 1st birthday, beautiful Caitlyn!
It really feels like just yesterday that I captured Caitlyn as a newborn. This year has flown by! Which, is only natural as I’ve had 3 kiddos keeping me preoccupied. 😉 Caitlyn is a sweetheart with a lot of energy — just like her big sisters. The three girls together are so cute, even if Caitlyn would prefer to be miss independent at the moment. As always, around this age, they would rather be exploring the world around them than sit still…so, I’ve gotten pretty good at following them around with my camera. 😉 Here’s a peek at her first year photos!
blake {7 months}
Due to winter illnesses, we finally got around to taking little Blake’s “6 month photos” even though she was technically 7 months here. 🙂 Glad she’s feeling better as she gave me plenty of adorable smiles. She was so excited to show off her crib and room, and I think I might just have to steal the beaaaautiful mobile hanging above her crib that her mommy made. She has quite the bubbly little personality and it’s been fun watching her grow! Here’s a peek at our fun time together!

It feels like just yesterday that I first captured the adorable Marian Rose, and already she’s ONE year old! Where does the time go!? She is such a sweet girl who enjoyed showing me the things she loves doing in her home — such as reading, snacking, practicing walking, and of course, hanging out with mom and dad. I forget how much I enjoy doing more lifestyle shoots until I start capturing little moments in a family’s home. It is fun finding new spaces, backgrounds and utilizing the natural lighting, all while showing the love they share for one another.

I love watching families grow through photographs. Last time I saw Claire, she was just a newborn — and now she is 1 year! I first took her sister’s 1 year photos as well a couple years ago. It’s fun to see the resemblance of the two, though Lizzie definitely had a lot more hair as a one year old! Such a cute family with a lot of energy. We ended the shoot with a celebratory cake smash! Here’s a peek. 🙂

Despite the intense heat and Jonah not feeling the best, we still captured some sweet moments for his 1 year photos! Special thanks to the Jeseritz’s as they were patient in waiting for me to recover from having my own babies ~ as Jonah’s first birthday was actually on May 2. He is a sweet boy who is looking more and more like a perfect balance of both of his parents. He enjoyed exploring the amazing backyard of my neighbor’s {bluepom.com} who were willing to let me shoot in it once again! I said it before, what kid doesn’t like a horse tire swing!?
