So happy for the Kamin’s who welcomed their precious little girl, Rydlee, into the world on January 15! Ryker, whom I’ve shot since he was born, is such a proud big brother, and thoroughly enjoyed giving her lots of snuggles. Rydlee was an excellent little model who slept most of the shoot and just looked so peaceful the entire time. So much love for this sweet little lady already. Here’s a peek at some cuteness!

…and plus one = FIVE! So happy for our friend’s growing family! Sweet little Erica Christine was welcomed at the start of the new year on January 3, 2017! Such a cutie who loves snuggling and looks so similar to her big sis when she was born. I can tell already that Mallorie and Chad are going to be wonderful big siblings. Excited for their new journey and for our fun, chaotic playdates in the future! 😉

It feels like just yesterday that I first captured the adorable Marian Rose, and already she’s ONE year old! Where does the time go!? She is such a sweet girl who enjoyed showing me the things she loves doing in her home — such as reading, snacking, practicing walking, and of course, hanging out with mom and dad. I forget how much I enjoy doing more lifestyle shoots until I start capturing little moments in a family’s home. It is fun finding new spaces, backgrounds and utilizing the natural lighting, all while showing the love they share for one another.
Happy Birthday to beautiful Marian! I have so enjoyed capturing you in your first year!

It’s always fun meeting new families! I enjoyed taking the Christen family photos most recently. Their girls have so much fun being in front of the lense, it was cute to watch. I always love seeing the Friehe family! Owen becomes more and more handsome every time I see him, and those big blue eyes never cease to amaze me. Sometimes it takes awhile for kiddos to warm up to the camera…. or rather, forget about the fact that they reaaallly dislike wearing pants and be distracted by treats, tickling and their favorite stuffed animal. 😉 It’s been fun watching little Andrew grow up over the years. And, I’m so excited that their family is going to be growing by one in the near future! My husband and I have known the Peterson’s well before they had any kiddos. I still recall going bowling with them “back in the day,” and Taryn wasn’t having a drink because they wanted to start a family. Since then, their sweet family has grown by four beaauutiful children, and I couldn’t be happier for them! They are truly blessed and I always have so much fun capturing their unique personalities. I love meeting new families! I especially love meeting them randomly in our neighborhood park. And then, I really love when I realize why they looked so familiar ~ I helped 2nd shoot their wedding! Wayyy back in the day when I was first getting started, so everything then is kind of jumbled together as I was learning SO much! 😉 Such a small world. I’m so happy to have been able to capture their beautiful family of four with the cutest little boys! Their eyes are beyond gorgeous, and they all are just so cute together and truly happy! When you haven’t seen your clients for a whole year, it’s crazy to see how much they have grown! The kiddos anyways…. 😉 One thing that hasn’t changed though is how much the siblings, Elizabeth and Josh, absolutely adore one another. They have the cutest bond, and are seriously some of the sweetest kids I’ve met. They looove having their photograph taken, so makes my job easy! A gorgeous Fall day with scrumptious lighting + a beautiful family made this session wonderful!

A beautiful family + gorgeous Fall setting = a lovely shoot. The Ramirez family is so incredibly photogenic, they make my job easy. 🙂 Feels like yesterday that I first did their engagement photos, when Elise was tiny! Now she’s growing into a beautiful young lady and loves to pose for the camera. Her little brother Rowan has the absolute most adorable personality and seems to love smiling for the camera, too. It was a joy to capture this family and their love for one another!

When Sara came to me for newborn photos of her soon-t0-be twins, I was very excited as we recently had twins of our own! I felt like I have a bit of experience in photographing them. 😉 Mason & Leah are absolutely precious, and their cute big brother seemed to adore them and embrace his new role. I love the names they chose…how nice of them to name one after me!! ;D Mason and Leah were just perfect little models during their entire shoot. The reminded me of ours in that the little boy could fuss a bit or squirm around, yet, the little lady is not even phased by it… I can tell that mom and dad are absolutely in love with their new family of 5! Many prayers and good thoughts to them as they figure out this new, beautiful adventure they’re on! Here’s a peek at this sweet family.

I love watching families grow through photographs. Last time I saw Claire, she was just a newborn — and now she is 1 year! I first took her sister’s 1 year photos as well a couple years ago. It’s fun to see the resemblance of the two, though Lizzie definitely had a lot more hair as a one year old! Such a cute family with a lot of energy. We ended the shoot with a celebratory cake smash! Despite the intense heat and Jonah not feeling the best, we still captured some sweet moments for his 1 year photos! Special thanks to the Jeseritz’s as they were patient in waiting for me to recover from having my own babies ~ as Jonah’s first birthday was actually on May 2. He is a sweet boy who is looking more and more like a perfect balance of both of his parents. He enjoyed exploring the amazing backyard of my neighbor’s {bluepom.com} who were willing to let me shoot in it once again! I said it before, what kid doesn’t like a horse tire swing!? It was not too long ago that I captured sweet Danica for her 4th birthday. Joining her for another shoot this time around was her cute younger and older brother + their mom and dad. 🙂 Such a gorgeous evening to capture this beautiful family of 5! It helps to have a shoot around the 4th of July as the incentive to smile and behave was that they’d go get fireworks afterwards. I think it worked. 😉 Here’s a peek!

Almost a few years ago, I first captured sweet little Blake’s big brother as a newborn and throughout his first year, so it was really special to be a part of this little lady’s first photos as well. Born on April 25, she was an absolute doll who slept beautifully throughout her shoot. The lashes on her and her brother’s big blue eyes are simply amazing! I first met Joyce and Jeff when I took their engagement photos, then was a part of their wedding, and now it’s been so awesome to photograph all 3 of the Schlickbernd girl’s newborn photos. I see so many similarities in them all when you compare their photos side by side, including LOTS of hair! Caitlyn Ann joined the family most recently on March 16, 2016. She is a little sweetheart who definitely likes being cuddled up either with her parents or on her tummy. She is so lucky to be surrounded by a loving family and having two sisters to show her the way of the world. 🙂 Here’s a peek at her first shoot!

Mj’s first shoot was way back when he was a newborn, and now here we are, already over a year old! Such a handsome little man, with both his parent’s dark, brown eyes and hair. And although he didn’t want to give us a ton of smiles, his serious look is absolutely adorable. He is still that squishable little boy from his very first photoshoot, but this time much more aware of the camera and showing his sweet, shy side. Last weekend, I spent some time with the Kamin family for Ryker’s two year photos! He just gets cuter and cuter every time I see him ~ and I’ve been photographing him since birth! Those dark brown eyes draw you in and his smile just melts your heart. He is definitely all boy and into sports, cars and trucks, but he also shows his sweet side with lots of hugs and kisses for mom and dad. Here’s a peek at Ryker’s 2 year photos!

I absolutely love capturing the time just before a family is expecting a new little one — usually about a month or so before baby has to depart from the cozy little world they’ve only known for the last 9 months. Motherhood is such a beautiful thing, and if you’re able, I think it’s really important to capture that amazing bump to not only look back on years down the road, but to share with the child who is about to enter your world.
I was so happy to capture my old neighbor’s in their beautiful new home! Although, I secretly wish they were still in our neighborhood as our kiddos are so close in age! Kali is absolutely glowing with the most perfect little bump, and Michael is SO excited to have a boy in the family (hence, the baseball shots at the end)! Big sister, Kalin, is so excited to welcome her new brother. And although her older sister was out of town when we did this shoot, I know she is probably equally as excited. Congrats to the Evans! I’m excited to meet their handsome little man. 🙂

I have photographed the Treibers for over 5 years, watching Jack & Caroline grow up, so I was happy to do an extended family shoot for them with their parents and siblings! And the dogs are of course a part of that too. 🙂 We were able to step outside long enough to get some great, freshly fallen snow, shots. Super sweet family to work with, and I love their house divided shots towards the end!
elizabeth {newborn}
Meet Elizabeth. Born just before Thanksgiving ~ and what a sweetheart she is! She did amazing during her shoot, and even gave us a bunch of smiles! I mean, they really looked like genuine smiles — even while awake! It was adorable. Since her daddy is a part of CrossFit, it was only fitting to end our shoot with some props that they provided. I can tell that her parents adore her, and visa versa as she cuddled up in their arms. Here’s a peek at a beautiful family of three!
