barber {family}
Another year came and went, and Edie is now four! This year, she was joined by her grandma and uncle to capture some fun moments in the park. So much love for this energetic little girl. She was running around so much, she even wanted to take her sweater off at one point, even though I thought it was COLD! Just thankful the rain held out. Here’s a peek!
jardine // siblings
{Siblings} Such a happy bunch these three were. We went on an adventure at lake Zorinsky, and all seemed to love being in front of the camera! It was always, “me first!” when asking to take a shot. A little different from the often little ones running AWAY from the camera! πΒ I love their color combo and how they all looked cozy in this yucky fall weather we’ve been having. Here’s a peek!
ramey {family} photos // elkhorn, ne
Mother nature just can’t make up her mind whether she wants it to be fall or summer. This up and down weather has all of us photographers on our toes for sure. Wanting the best weather for our clients is not always the case, so sometimes we just push through, and I’m so glad we did for this shoot as I think we still captured some great shots despite the cold and rain. Those sweet girls mostly wanted to stay bundled up next to their parents, so lots of hugs were had! Here’s a peek. π
kamin // family
Little Rydlee is now 18 months, and without realizing it at first, we went back to the same place we captured her big brother’s 18 month photos in downtown Elkhorn — so many years ago! So fun watching these kiddos grow. Rydlee is definitely breaking in some new teeth, so wasn’t the happiest camper, but we still managed to get a few smiles and shots without the fingers in the mouth! π Puddle jumping definitely brings out pure JOY! Here’s a peek at some cute Kamin photos.
brenda + tavis // married // omaha, ne
I think my new favorite thing is backyard weddings! What better way to celebrate love than to be in an intimate setting surrounded by friends and family? This one was decorated so beautifully, we could not have asked for better weather, and the energy of the evening was just pure fun!Β Tavis and Brenda looked so happy, and I wish them all the best as they venture into this next chapter of life together!
rachel {newborn} // omaha newborn photographer
A few years ago, I captured this family’s first little girl. It’s always crazy to see them after they’re all grown up, no longer at all a baby, but rather, miss Elizabeth is now a big sis to Rachel! Though sweet little Rachel did not want to sleep for pretty much our entire session, she was as calm as can be and was just taking in the world around her. It was fun catching up and snuggling their newest little bundle! Here’s a peek. π
proper {family} // omaha family photographer
Last week, I captured this sweet family and had so much fun! The boys really seem to like being in front of the camera, which makes it that much easier for me! π And mom and dad seem like they’re just as much in love as they were back when I first captured them at their wedding 9 years ago! I love how their outfit colors just became one with nature — they blended in just beautifully! Here’s a peek!
jody + kenny // married
I absolutely loved capturing Jody and Kenny’s family photos last year, and was so excited when they asked me to capture their big day! They were married down in Jamaica a few weeks ago and had an intimate celebration with friends and family here in Omaha at the Old Mattress Factory. Such a gorgeous couple, and it’s beautiful to see them come together as a family of 6 now! So many memories ahead for this sweet family, and I’m glad I was able to capture some more for them. Here’s a sneak peek at their big day!
johnluke newborn
Still can’t believe two of my friends delivered their second baby just one week apart! I just captured sweet Caroline, and then a day after I got to meet this handsome little guy — JohnLuke. He was so stinkin’ cute and slept (hard) the entire time! MJ is a wonderful big brother who, although didn’t love giving snuggles, was so cute when he did. And of course we had to do a military shot just in time for Memorial day to honor his mama who serves. Here’s a peek at some adorableness.
caroline // newborn
Feels like just yesterday that I met our friend’s first little girl, and now Elisa has become a (wonderful) big sister to sweet Caroline! She is so precious and squishable, I could have snuggled all day. π Here’s a peek at her first shoot!
lukehart {family} + emelia 1 year
The flowers are finally blooming, the grass and trees are a beautiful green, there’s no better time to take family photos! I always have a great time capturing the Lukehart family. Emilia took a bit longer to warm up to the camera, but boy is she one CUTE one year old! She especially enjoyed her cake smash at the end. π Here’s a peek at this beautiful Spring session!
delaynie & easton // 1 year
Delaynie and Easton are absolutely precious. It was so much fun capturing their first year photos ~ even though they weren’t too keen on giving me smiles. Mr Easton warmed up a little bit, while the little lady gave me more of the serious attitude. They really remind me of my twins. Maybe it’s just a boy/girl thing? π Either way, they are ADORBS. Here’s a peek at their fun little session ending with a cake smash!
rowley {maternity}
Jenn and Pat are some of the first friends I hung out with since moving to Omaha, and it has been so fun watching them grow as a family over the years! Elisa is going to be a big sister — to… either a boy or a girl! They have not found out the gender yet, and I give them so much credit for hanging on! I am way too impatient to not find out. π Jenn looks adorable as ever and is ALL baby. For now, I predict it is a boy. Congrats to them as they anticipate become a family of 4!
nicholas // 1 year + family photos
Nicholas is looking more and more like his big brother with those big blue eyes and blonde hair. Two little studs and so sweet! We had fun exploring the park, though I found out one of my favorite 100+ year old trees was cut down! It made for a nice backdrop, but it’s still so sad to see such a large tree like that go. Nicholas even got a little taste of a cupcake to celebrate his big day. Happy 1 year big guy!
asher {1 year}
I feel like I have been surrounded by one year olds lately! All my clients babies all of a sudden are no longer BABIES! They now have little personalities, more hair, some are walking and even talking! Oh how so much changes in just a year. Asher is the sweetest, most squishable little boy, and if ever two kids looked alike, it is he and his big sister. I always enjoy spending time and catching up with the Poppen family! Here’s a peek at Asher’s one year!
ryker {4 years}
And just like that, Ryker is four! We celebrated by capturing some sweet moments with his parents, sister and grandparents, and even got a little fresh air in this crazy, unpredictable Nebraskan weather. π Here’s a peek at handsome mister Rykeroo!
henry // newborn
Wide awake and oh-so-concerned looking is how little Mr Henry spent his time during our shoot. He is so cute and a wonderful addition to this now family of four. His big brother was such a good listener and so patient with him. I can tell they are going to have a lot of fun growing up together! Here’s a peek at some of his adorableness.
rydlee 1 year
And just like that, Rydlee is one! She is walking, babbling and ready to take on another year! She is finally getting to the age where she can really start playing with her big brother — and they are so sweet together! Here’s a peek at her adorableness and cake smash!
caleb // 1 year
Most recently, I met a little man named, Caleb, who is celebrating his first birthday! He was a delight to have in the studio, and, it was fun to watch him smash (or rather devour the frosting from) his cake. Soon enough, he’s going to be stealing all the ladies’ hearts with those baby blues! Here’s a peek at his session. π
abigail // 1 year
Though sweet little Abigail doesn’t yet understand the concept of turning one, she can someday look back at these sweet photos we captured to celebrate HER, because, well, turning one is kind of a big deal — for both her and her parents! π She looked so cute in her holiday attire, and then, during her cake smash. Here’s a peek at beautiful miss Abigail’s one year photos!
alivia // 1 year
I loved taking photos of sweet Alivia and her family over the summer, so was happy to also take her one year photos! She is still such a doll and could most definitely be a little Gerber baby model. She is probably one of the most dainty babies I’ve seen when it comes to a cake smash ~ just nibbled off a little corner and was satisfied. π Here’s a peek at her first year photos! You will most certainly want to squish her up she is so sweet!
hudson {newborn}
We have certainly been blessed when it comes to some awesome neighbors — the Rosenblad’s being one of them. They reminded me of my husband and I when they first moved in – just a young couple, no kiddos, no pets and in a house that had a few more rooms than they needed at the time. π It has been so fun watching them fill those rooms and become such natural parents. It has also been cute that our kids are starting to play together more, baby Hudson doesn’t know the fun he’s in for with our little ‘hood gatherings! π He is a precious, perfect little boy, and so loved by his family — including his big brother, Jace. They grow so fast, I’m so glad I was able to capture Hudson’s first photos! Here’s a peek.
hagin {family}
It was a pleasure capturing the lovely Hagin family most recently at Lake Zorinsky. Their adorable blue-eyed little man was not quite sure about the camera right away, but, leave it to peek-a-boo, tickles and, may I say, “toot” noises, and he is all for that! π I think he also discovered that skipping rocks is a new found hobby. Thankful to have captured this family before Chris leaves again for duty. So thankful for his service! Here’s a peek at our fun family session ending with a most gorgeous sunset!
hansen {family}
I recently captured the Hansen family, and they are cute as always! We did not have to go far from their home, as their backyard had an abundance of leaves to work with! When it got too chilly, we moved inside, and I’m glad we got a shot of sweet Nicholas on the same chair we had him on as a newborn. Always fun to compare! We finished the night with a few shots of the beautiful sunset in the circle just in front. It is the same circle that my husband grew up in (and parent-in-laws live in today), so the tree shown has been there for decades. Thankfully, Laura and others have worked hard to preserve it since tree diseases have swept through Omaha. Here’s a peek at their adorableness!
