Over the Summer, we got paired up with a random couple for a golf mixer, and it happened to be two people from our church! **I recognized Megan right away as she is an amazing speaker/leader there.** It has been so much fun getting to know them, and I’ve enjoyed capturing their son’s senior photos, and now their entire family. Besides a little wind, we could not have asked for a more beautiful Fall day, and we even found some color left on the trees! Megan is surrounded by a bunch of handsome boys, and I can tell that the brothers are/will be close as they grow up. Here’s a peek!
katelin + justin | married | fall 2023
What a beautiful day and wedding this was! I was first contacted by Katelin about capturing their big day when she and Justin lived over seas in Italy! I have to give props to her for making her plans in a city she had never lived in, and from such a distance! And, I’ll admit that I was a bit nervous when she mentioned a 5:00 ceremony outdoors on November 5, as I knew daylight savings was the night before and it would be dark in no time! We lucked out, though, and there was a perfect amount of light leftover at the end of the day. 😉 The day unfolded just beautifully and I love how Katelin made tribute to her mother whom passed away not too long ago. A photo of her mom followed her throughout the day, and I have no doubt that she was watching from above. Katelin and Justin are such a sweet couple, and I loved all the little moments together (such as how often he would kiss her hand or make an adorable comment). I wish them nothing but the best in this next chapter of their lives together!
Captured this sweet family just the other week! How are we lucking out with such beautiful November weather in Omaha?! Even shooting in the morning for this session was doable. Love all the textures to their cozy looking sweaters, and I’m wondering if they have an adult size in little Madeline’s top. So cute! Here’s a peek at our session together.

We love our neighborhood, mostly because we have great neighbors like these guys! Even though it was windy and darker outside, the photos turned out so warm looking with their personalities, snuggles and fall colors during this session. So happy to have captured their extended family. I think everyone needs to capture whole families more often, as photos such as the generational shots are true treasured ones to look back on for years to come!

This family reminds me a lot of mine for some reason. Maybe it’s the two sisters that remind me of my sister and I at that age, or maybe it is because they are also originally from Wisconsin and have the good ol’ Northern/midwestern manners. 😉 It was nice to have the grandpa/dad join them for the session, too! A few years ago, I photographed a sweet set of triplets for their senior photos. And recently, I got to see them again and capture their entire extended family! I’m always up for little adventures with my clients, and so I was more than happy to photograph this sweet family at Hitchcock nature center. It is a little more hiking than normal, but man it is worth it to see that beautiful sunset over the bluffs! It is so still and peaceful up there, and we could not have asked for a more beautiful day. I last photographed Marcia with a horse, and so it was fun to capture her whole family this time. I’m not sure where the time goes. Or when younger siblings start catching up in height with their big siblings. It all goes so fast! I’ve known this sweet crew since our littles were in preschool. Kris and I were in the same boat with our twins and an older sibling, and it’s always been fun having her to relate to with it all! Their kiddos have the most beautiful blue eyes, and it’s always fun when little ones have missing teeth smiles!

It was great meeting this sweet family who had 15 year old boy/girl twins and an older sibling –kinda reminds me of my own family! (except my oldest is a girl). We got some great shots, and it was an absolutely gorgeous evening and the water was so still and serene at Zorinsky. Here’s a peek!

This was a very hot, sticky session, but I’m so glad this cute crew were good troopers about it! Especially since I had them walk all over the park. 😉 What better way to end your day than with your 1 year old’s cake smash! He LOVED that cake… evening putting his whole face in it at one point!

Met up with this sweet family recently for a fun session, which included grandma whom was visiting from Montana! I love getting generational shots when grandparents are around. A few Summer’s ago, I captured a 50th wedding anniversary at Bellevue Berry Farm, and now 2 years later, they decided to have a family reunion at the same location! I was happy to capture their time together — 3 generations red dress photos, cousin shots, dancing and group shots were just some of the moments captured. Here’s a peek!
rodney tuttle retirement
It was an honor capturing Chief Master Sergeant Rodney G. Tuttle’s retirement at Offutt Air Force Base recently. Taking place in a hanger with a plane as the backdrop, it was a very cool setting, though it was 100 degrees with high humidity that day and no air conditioning was in the facility! It was a little toasty, but it didn’t seem to bother any of the wonderfully dressed men and women in uniform. So thankful for this family and their service and am wishing them all the best as they enter the next chapter of their lives! Here’s a peek at their big day!

This past Valentine’s, I was asked by a Realty group to take some “kissing booth” photos for an event they were having. In that group was a sweet mama, two of her boys and a little one on the way. So glad that we met that day as she reached out to have me capture her precious little girl who was just 11 days old when I met her. Joyce did so great during her first session and slept pretty much the whole time, with exception of the beginning when she gave me the BEST facial expressions. She is sure gonna have some protective older brothers! Here’s a peek. 🙂

What better time to capture photos with your kiddos than around Father’s Day! So happy for my dear friend who is dating this sweet man with some adorable kiddos. They are such happy, energetic little individuals and had the perfect balance of goofiness and big smiles during our session.

I recently captured this sweet lady who just reached an important milestone ~ turning 40! She has a love for animals/horses, so what better time to capture her with such a beautiful creature!? The horses’ name was Flash, and though he was not the biggest fan of having his photos taken and would have rather snacked on grass and trees the whole time, he occasionally “smiled” for us, and paired up beautifully with Marica who contrasted him well with her lovely flowery dress. I have been capturing the kiddos since they were babies and it has been a joy watching them grow! And lil sis looks just like her big sis! I always enjoy meeting new families, especially if they’re referred to by another family that you are friends with! I captured this sweet family in the comfort of their own yard and surroundings. We had the most beautiful (though a little muggy) day with nice, diffused lighting. The kiddos had the most beautiful, blue eyes and they especially enjoyed the ending where they hung out by their pond. Here’s a peek!

I love seeing families grow after I’ve photographed their weddings! This sweet family has the most adorable little kiddos, and Ruby just turned ONE! She is such a doll with big, blue eyes and little “Bam Bam” hair. 😉 Her big brother is just as cute and I can tell the two of them will have so much fun growing up together.
